We are seeking dedicated, hardworking General Laborers to join our growing crew. Our projects span commercial, industrial, and residential sectors, specializing in asphalt paving, seal coating, line striping, concrete work, and earthworks/excavating/grading.
Duties & Responsibilities
Crew Support
As a General Laborer, you will support various crews across multiple specialized scopes of work. Daily tasks are diverse, hands-on, and critical to project success. Must be dependable to work a 40-hour week which could include overtime and some weekends.
Asphalt & Seal Coating
Assist in raking, shoveling, and leveling hot-mix asphalt during paving and patching operations. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sweeping, and applying tack coat prior to paving or sealing. Operate walk-behind rollers, compaction equipment, and seal coating sprayers or squeegees.
Line Striping
Prepare surfaces (cleaning, layout, and chalking) for precise striping and pavement marking. Assist in operating line-striping machines, stenciling, and hand-painting curbs or ADA symbols.
Concrete Work
Help set, level, and brace wooden or steel forms for curbs, sidewalks, pads, and flatwork. Assist during concrete pours by shoveling, screeding, floating, and finishing surfaces. Strip forms post-cure and perform clean-up and backfilling around completed concrete structures.
Earthworks & Grading
Perform hand-digging, trenching, and grading around utilities, foundations, and tight spaces. Assist equipment operators by acting as a grade checker, signal person, and utility spotter. Install silt fencing, erosion control measures, and handle general site prep materials.
General Site Operations
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site by clearing debris, materials, and scrap. Load, unload, and secure tools, equipment, and construction materials on company vehicles. Perform routine daily pre- and post-trip equipment inspections and minor maintenance.
Career Advancement
We promote from within. Hard work, leadership potential, and reliability open doors to rapid career progression: General Laborer to Skilled Laborer to Equipment Operator, Equipment Operator to Crew Lead / Assistant Foreman, Foreman to Project Superintendent.
Training & Development
Learn directly from seasoned foremen and equipment operators. Cross-train across all core divisions — learn to operate heavy machinery (excavators, skid steers, rollers), run striping rigs, and master concrete finishing. Company-sponsored safety training, OSHA compliance, and equipment certification opportunities.
